FAQ

All About CrossFit

1. What makes CrossFit different from a traditional gym?

CrossFit gyms differ from traditional gyms by focusing on functional movements that mimic real-life activities, enhancing overall fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility. Each session includes personalized coaching to ensure proper form and technique, along with tailored feedback. The strong sense of community and camaraderie in CrossFit gyms motivates members to support and encourage each other. Additionally, CrossFit offers varied, high-intensity workouts designed to challenge and engage members, unlike the often repetitive routines found in traditional gyms.

2. I heard CrossFit is dangerous and has a higher risk of injury. Is this true?

While all physical activities come with some risks, CrossFit3Bears goes above and beyond to keep you safe. Our expert coaches are here to ensure you use proper form and technique, tailoring workouts to fit your fitness level. This way, you can challenge yourself without worrying about injuries. We scale workouts to suit everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes, and focus on mastering technique before ramping up the intensity. Our goal is for you to have a long lasting healthy lifestyle, so there's no pressure to overdo it.

3. Is it healthy for my child to start doing CrossFit?

CrossFit offers numerous benefits for kids, including improved physical health by combating obesity and Type 2 diabetes, enhanced motor skills through functional movements, and increased confidence from mastering new skills. The fun and engaging nature of CrossFit Kids programs fosters a lifelong love for fitness, while group classes promote social interaction and teamwork. Additionally, CrossFit instills healthy lifestyle habits, encouraging positive associations with exercise and nutrition. With expert coaching and age-appropriate workouts, CrossFit provides a safe and effective way for kids to stay active and develop essential life skills.

4. I am uncomfortable working out in front of people. How can you help?

We understand that working out in front of others can be intimidating. At CrossFit3Bears, we offer personal 1-on-1 training to help you build confidence. Our expert coaches will teach you the fundamental movements and provide personalized feedback to ensure you feel comfortable and confident. You can choose to stay with personal coaching or, when you're ready, graduate to our supportive group classes. Our community is welcoming and encouraging, making it easier for you to transition and thrive in a group setting.

5. Why is it so expensive compared to traditional gyms?

Investing in a CrossFit membership at CrossFit3Bears offers unparalleled benefits compared to traditional gyms. Due to our small group sizes, our certified coaches provide personalized guidance and feedback in every session, ensuring you perform exercises correctly and safely. This level of expertise is often missing in traditional gyms, where personal training sessions can be costly and less effective. CrossFit focuses on functional movements that improve overall fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility. These varied, high-intensity workouts keep you engaged and challenged, unlike the repetitive routines in traditional gyms. While CrossFit memberships may seem pricier initially, the combination of expert coaching, personalized attention, and a supportive community offers exceptional value. You get more out of each session, making it a smart investment in your health and fitness.
